Description
The Paray le Monial gliding centre is the perfect place to discover the discipline of motorless, environmentally-friendly flying. Take-off is assisted by a tow aircraft, and once the cable has been released, autonomous flight can last from a few minutes to several hours.
After dual control training on a two-seater glider, the student is released to fly solo, then completes his or her training with a "campaign" qualification, which will enable him or her to fly circuits far from the starting base. At the end of their training, they sit an exam to obtain their pilot's licence.
Pilots can extend their training with a TMG, which will enable them to take off autonomously with a motor glider.
The flying season runs from March to October. In winter, it is possible to fly a motor glider, which is also when we carry out maintenance on the aircraft.
