Description

The museum invites you to discover the history of the Cluniac site. The priory was founded in 929 after the destruction of Changy. Attached to Cluny in the early 12th century, the appointment of Prior Rabutin in 1470 led to the restoration of the site, giving it its Renaissance appearance. The site has preserved its 12th-century Romanesque capitals, its beam, the only one of its kind in Europe, and its original roof timbers from its Cluniac past.
