Description

Martine & Nick, English by origin and Burgundian by adoption, welcome you to a traditional 18th century residence, completely restored, quietly located on the edge of an alley in the heart of a peaceful little typical hamlet steeped in history (former district of " potters" once linked to multiple local factories) nestled on the banks of the Canal du Centre. Calm & tranquility, in the countryside, on the immediate edge of meadows (with the famous Charolais cows as neighbors in season), a stone's throw from the banks of the Bourbince & the Étang de Palinges (fishing & leisure). Soothing preserved setting, combining bucolic bocage meadows & gentle wild forests, 2.5 km from the picturesque trading town of Génelard, former goods port nicknamed "the quai des paving stones of Paris" (a quarter of the capital's paving stones were loaded here), today hui “nautical stop” (marina). Spacious “suite” with very good comfort. Warm country style combining “traditions & modernity” in a tasty “mix & match” with “vintage” (40s & 50s) and contemporary touches. Very charming. Cocooning & cozy atmosphere. Sheltered balcony-veranda, completed by a private terrace at the foot of the room. Vast enclosed garden of 2000m², "nature" inspired, housing a fruit orchard (apple, plum, pear, walnut, cherry trees, etc. / picking possible), a furnished "relaxation" area & a henhouse (the rare privilege of fresh eggs on request for breakfast!).
Composition: Completely independent suite on the 1st floor of the owners' house. Wifi (fiber) + TV. Gas central heating. Comprising: living room (relaxation & dining area) + bedroom (double electric bed 140x190cm) + private bathroom (shower/Wc). Microwave available. “Packed lunch” on request. Breakfast served in the room. Sheltered veranda balcony + courtyard terrace + private parking. Enclosed garden (2000m²) shared. Bicycle storage. Shops 1.5 km. Supermarket 3 km. Restaurant 5 km.
